MINI2

My one day old Mini was dive bombed by a bird which I didn't notice until I got home from work, so I'm not sure how long it was on the bonnet.
I cleaned it off gently with diluted Windex, but I notice an etching in the finish that exact shape of the splat!.
How can I get this off? The little guy was born on March 7th, so I'm afraid of the paint/clearcoat being soft. Its a Chili Red, if that matters,

the thing about bird **** is that they eat grit in their diet and that scratches the paint, that might have been the problem if it dried up on it.

Carnuaba waxes don't protect all that well against bird doodoo (or most other nasty things either).

Zaino does an excellent job at this. Highly recommended...

Around here (Hawaii), the birds with red butts have a nasty reputation. If they crap on your car, it'll go straight down to the primer in no time, like the saliva from the monster in Alien. It's happened to me (but not yet on my MINI) and it's true. It's something they eat, or something in their digestive system. They really enjoy what they do...
