Got my "Olive" back from the dealer after having Bonnet Stripes and Aux Driving Lamps installed. One thing that bothers me is they left a gap of about 1 cm between the end of stripe and the edge of chrome grill. Is that the way it supposed to be? Kinda funny. Looks like the OEM stripes are too short.

Is there a similar sized gap at the top?

If theres no gap, they`ve fitted them too far up.

You will always have a small gap.This helps with fitting. A "Tight Fit" would take longer to fit correctly, as the fitting would need to be 100% correct.

You certainly wouldn't want the dealer to have to take time to fit the stripes 100% correct. Not at the reasonable installation rates they charge!

All the OEM stripes I've seen have a gap either at the top, bottom or both. I think I would prefer it at the top more than at the grill, but it's probably a detail only us owners will notice.

Thanks guy. Too bad that where I live there is no after market stripe that run all the way to the windshield. Darn, my stripes have big gap between them and the chrome grill. Now I am trying to claim them that as shown in the cataloge, the stripes have to start right at the chrome grill. Don't know whether they agree to refit it for me. Anyway, I have my aux driving light in front to obscure the gaps.
