Offline | I never liked the orange turn signal lights on the front of my Cooper S. I always felt it looked out of place. I finally did something about it. I bought a pair of normal 1156 clear lamps to replace the stock orange lamps. When I went to install them I found that the pins on the stock lamps are offset. The pins on an 1156 are 180 Deg. apart, so I shaved 1 of the pins off. This worked great since the pins work only for retension not for contact. I think the clear lamps look much better, and I wanted to share the info. 94SwiftGT Clear Lamps: http://www.mini2.com/gallery/personal/picture11948.html Stock Lamps: http://www.mini2.com/gallery/personal/picture11949.html |

Offline | They look clear now. When you activate the turn signals are they yellow or white. I think in Ontario we must have yellow turn signals up front on a car. At least they must flash yellow. Charles BRG/W MCS |

| MINI2 Regular | I know that in the US, the DoT requires the turn signals to flash amber. I am looking into getting the bulbs for the turn signals that are silver when off, but flash orange. That way you get the white look, but people will still recognize that you are about to turn. |

| Trained Monkey | Read this from the FAQ and DIY section (if you haven't already). It has a how-to, and a place to get them from: http://www.mini2.com/forum/faq.html [d.i.y.] How to fit 'clear' front indicator bulbs and 'whiter' side lights: http://www.mini2.com/forum/thread23640_.html |

Offline | The DIY talks about getting bulbs from www.powerbulbs.com. I checked out that website, but couldn't find the Mini as one of the cars to choose from for bulbs. Can someone help? Thanks. |

| Trained Monkey | These are the ones: http://www.powerbulbs.com/products/p...d=psv&type=IND They are (pretty much) universal. You get the blue sidelights free too. Paul |
