Offline | Aero rear spolier (UK price clarification) Searching through posts regarding the cost of the rear Aero spoiler I'm getting more confused. My local MINI dealer has quoted a total of £230 for the item painted and ready to fit (I'm happy to fit it myself). Another dealer has quoted £155 plus £8 for adhesive with the spoiler allegedly arriving in the colour of my choice. I pointed out that the other dealer had assured me it was provided primered only. Can anyone please clarify if the spoiler is supplied primered and that you have to get it painted, or as the second dealer stated, that it can be ordered in the body colour (chili red in this case) of your choice. TIA, Andy Penfold, WAS a Chili Red One Salt, 8 spokes, CD changer, Manual A/C, Alarm, Mudflaps, Clear lights, Chrome pipe, OBC, Aero spoiler, '03 Leather wheel, Aux lights, Whalen shifter..... |

Offline | Thanks Zoooom - don't worry about the exact price, I was more concerned ordering one and receiving it unpainted. Sounds like the latter dealer was correct. Offline | It seems as if my local dealer got it wrong. After reitterating exactly what I wanted and had been told by the other dealer, I successfully ordered the Aero spoiler in Chilli red at £155 inc VAT (plus the adhesive fixing kit at £8). In stock and due on Thursday. Apparently, he was looking at the price of a 'Cooper' rear spoiler which was priced at £98 primered, £90 for fitting and a further £140 for painting locally. Ouch. Ordering it direct from the factory, prepainted, along with a three to six week delivery time was even more expensive! The moral of the story is make sure your dealer knows and orders the correct one! Lucky this forum is here to help Thanks all (and thanks to the missus for my early b'day present )Andy ![]() Penfold, WAS a Chili Red One Salt, 8 spokes, CD changer, Manual A/C, Alarm, Mudflaps, Clear lights, Chrome pipe, OBC, Aero spoiler, '03 Leather wheel, Aux lights, Whalen shifter..... |
