United-Kingdom lights

the spots look reeeeeaaaalllly cool with the white covers, they co-ordinate well with the stripes. I'm getting works style 4 bar spots next week, unfortunetly no covers - seeing yours I'll have to investigate.

Who did you get them from and who installed them? They look really great. I like them better than the standard ones... larger is cool!

Trust not the heart of a man for whom old clothes, and the Mini, are not venerable!

how did they get wired? do they come on with your lights or maybe a switch in the aux spot? what was the bottom line for price if you don't mind.

I had them installed at Toms Tires in Long Beach, CA. It took them a very long time to get them installed and wired up. They said the wiring was such a pain that they will never do another install of driving lights on a Mini again. I bought the stock mounts from BMW and they used the wiring that came with the PIAA lights. There is a small switch that was installed using some doubble stick tape under the stearing wheel, kinda where your right knee is. They are wired to only work when the lights are turned on and the switch is pushed. They are VERY bright I love them. I got the stock mounts for $50 from my dealer, the lights cost me $300 and instalation cost me $150 so $500 overall and they look in my opinion alot better then the ones BMW sells and you save a few hundred dollars.

nice, zero cool.

similar treatment on my S. Just check out my gallery by clicking the little camera below. very satisfied with the install.

PIAA 40's? that's what I got.
for those interested. I've found the PIAA 40 lights for about $120-130 w/ free shipping. OEM mounting brackets cost around $50. If you do it yourself, not bad for under $200. I chose to install mounting brackets for about $120 cause I didn't want to do the drilling on my hood and grille. Light installation is almost stupid easy.

They look and work so much better than oem aux lights.. and work better, probably.

Curious where you found the lights? And, since I live in berkeley, where'd you get the bracket installed?
