Does the Cooper rear spoiler fit the Cooper S?

I understand that the Cooper S rear spoiler is fixed to
the rear hatch with 2 screws and double-sided tape.
I also understand that the Cooper rear spoiler had
3 screws. Is it true that the rear spoiler of latest built Coopers also have only 2 screws?

Does the Cooper rear spoiler fit the Cooper S?

That is, do the 2 outside screws in the Cooper rear spoiler
fit the holes in the Cooper S rear hatch lid?

What is the diameter of the holes, for the rear spoiler, in the Cooper S hatch lid?

Does anyone have photos of Cooper S rear hatch with spoiler
removed showing mounting holes.

I'm sure somebody in the know will reply soon, but it's been discussed on here a lot in the past, so you will probably find the information by searching the forums faster.

My advise is get the Aero Spoiler it looks better (IMO) In fact I'll probably get the S one changed when I get an S.

As for will it fit yes. Same boot

As for the screw issue, I don't have proof and not seen it myself, but I was told by Mini Guy who used to work on the mini's, that the Chili Spoiler was originally held on with 3 screws but in about june/july ish last year it went to 2 screws. So it should be possible.

As for size of holes etc, couldn't say, preety sure they'd be the same, and in same position to make the poeple making the Mini's life easier. Just get a price from your dealer.

Don't take there first price either. I was quoted £400 by my dealer, £250 by anjother dealer and £235 (ended up being £227) by a Derek Woodman in blackpool. That included removal of my Chili spoiler.

Get a price for them fitting it. It should be no more than £155 for the spoiler (painted they can order them in pre painted, or if its difficult they can get it in primared and charge you for painting it).

So it depends how much work it in involves fitting the S spoiler. Probably easier than the Aero to be honest as thats just glued on (they treated the original holes to prevent rust but its sealed anyway by the glue they use)

As I say, go with the Aero, looks better and you don't have to find a dealer who's willing to get an S chassis number and "bend the rules" by fitting it.

My Cooper S will be on the Tosca on Thur. April 24 heading
to New York. I prefer not to have a spoiler. I may put the
Cooper spoiler on my MCS if the the holes match. I would
rather not take the MCS spoiler off until I know for sure
that the holes match. I want know the diameter of the holes
in the hatch lid in order to decide if it might be possible to buy plastic plugs for the holes.

Sorry Mr thought you had a ooper and wanted an S spoiler DOH!

The S spoiler is there for reason, thats why you can't spec it without it, only think you can do is swap it for the Aero spoiler as that also helps reduce lift.
