Offline | Hi Aiden, I just received my Bezels am I am a little concerned about the instalation. They came with a tube of 5366 Silicone does it dry fast enough? The reason I am asking is that the Bezels don't follow the curv of the plastic piece and when I tried a dry fit I had to hold down on each end to get them to fit. I want to try to install them today so any help would be apperciated. Bob |

| Nice TTs......... | Mine followed the curves pretty well, I must admit.... I taped the chrome trims to the grilles, tight using masking tape, or you could use small g-clamps like Smiffy did.........I let them bond for around 14 hours or so, but I think silicone dries far faster than that anyway ! If you tape them after you inject the silicone and rub off any excess silicone from the chrome, it should be OK...... I actually damaged one of the retaining clips myself, so the grille doesnt fit back flush on one side now.... Hope that helps ! ![]() ![]() Global Moderator |

Offline | Razor, Your vents are the ones I want to go for! Didn't a mate do them for you? Shame you can't get anymore done... I saw similar ones on the New Mini parts website. The only problem is that A) They will cost an arm and a leg to import from Germany and B) They dont have any stock yet!! ![]() I have got my cool chrome side vents through the post and that'll be the first thing to go on my new baby when I get her next Friday ![]() Neill |

Offline | Glad you like them Neill and yes I did get 'em done by a mate and you're right it is a shame he's not doing the stuff anymore because I'm sure he could have got quite a bit of business from MINI2. ![]() |

Offline | I've put the trim rings on, but I've heard through the grapevine that someone now has a completely chrome piece (like on Razor's MINI). Anyone help out on where to get it here in the US of A? Pepper White / Red Interior / Red Stripes / CVTTalk is cheap 'cause supply exceeds demand. |
