| MINI2 Newbie | Pure Silver with black or silver top? help! hi everyone, first time poster and potential buyer for a new mini. I wanted everyone's opinion about the pure silver mini's and how they look in real life (didn't get a chance to see a silver one at the dealership i went to). I'm unsure whether to get a black or silver top for a pure silver mini and was wondering which color top do you guys think looks better with the pure silver. thanks! |

Offline | Hey all...... Check my photos for a Cooper in Pure Silver/Black/16" Wheels. I have the glass sunroof and a black window tint and I reckon It looks great The sunroof blends in with the Black roof and with the dark tint I think it looks classy. I have to add that it is a 2002 car and the paintwork is faultless......... Leigh |

Offline | Silver and black Check out my gallery to see shots of my Silver and black Cooper. I do admit though, that all silver S that COOPERation posted looks pretty nice, I think it's the sunroof that makes it right. Steve 2002 Pure Silver and Black Cooper |

Offline | OK, so what's this issue with the paint on Pure Silver cars? I'm heading into the dealer next week for a paint issue on the black roof, there appears to be paint missing from the rear, right around where the hinges are. However the silver looks fine to me. Offline | I thought I would warn anyone thinking of getting a Pure Silver to have a close look at it before taking delivery so they don't end up disappointed like I am. The PS paint on my Cooper is a mess when you park it in the sun, it is covered in blotches on the passenger side of the car and has a few on the divers side and the roof is bad as well. BMW have inspected the car and say it meets "BMW standards" and is the same on all MINI's which is a joke. I have sent 3 emails and made 3 phone calls about my car to BMW's national customer service manager and other than one brief conversation have been totally ignored. I have shown my car to the guy who owns the dealership that I got it from, he did not seem impressed with BMW and said he would look into it, if nothing is done this week I'm seriously thinking of selling the car. It's a shame because PS looks great... if you get a good one! cjay |

Offline | I vote Pure Silver with Black. It's one of my favorite combinations. I suppose it is a color that would be susceptible to imperfections at the factory, but there are alot of companies doing alot of silver cars pretty well right now, so there really should be no excuse. MINImeat B/W MCS |
