Changing the Halogen bulbs is easy, just follow the stepps in the manual. Power Bulbs can supply any of the bulbs you need. http://www.powerbulbs.com/

As for changing the rear lights, this should help with that operation.

I hope this all helps.

On the high level brake light you "should" never need to change it. It's LEDs in there rather than bulbs so "should" last the life of the car.

All the headlight bulbs for the MINI are H7 so its your choice. Depending on what your preference is. Xenon effect, 50% More light, Bad weather. Do a search on the Power Bulb site for the type of bulb you want.

I am a little confused about what bulbs my mini has as I bought it second hand they are the standard bulbs so would this bulb be brighter and equivalent to the upgraded lights you can get as an optional extra on a new MINI?

Cheers for your help

Those bulbs are the brightest bulbs you can get for reasonable money. £12 - £16 each. You could go for Performance bulbs they are £28 - £32 each. The only optional upgrade to the Headlights is to go Xenon. See this link.http://www.mini2.com/guides/pdf/Xenons&Washers.PDF You are talking £700 approx for this.
