Offline | Very exicted, new black S awaiting transport! Read in Mini USA owners lounge, owners complaining about door dings and lack of side molding protection. One posted magnetic option, but who wants to take it on and off the car? Anyone know where to get? Have installed? Had problems with their mini getting dinged up.. Hate to have my new S all dinged up in a matter of weeks. Anyone talk to their dealer about this? Mine is clueless. Please reply Paul |

Offline | An alternative view. So, how can door dings occur when the nearest car is at least 30 feet away from my MINI when I park it? IMNSHO that's right, careful parking space selection (way out in the far, empty ends of a parking lot) is the cheapest and best way to prevent door dings. Lazy parking ensures damage from other cars. + 2002 MINI Cooper S - Dark Silver / White roof, Sport, Premium, Lapis blue leather + 1965 Mini Traveller - Tartan Red / White roof, 1275, Cooper S discs, fully restored/renewed |

| Let's Motor. | This may not always prove true. There will always be the odd idiot that will park beside you even when you're out in the middle of nowhere. I try to park beside cars that are really nice and expensive, that way at least I can almost be assured the person opening the door is worried for their door just as much as mine. ![]() |
