Offline | GUT-Mini Body Kit in the US GUT-Mini has some of the coolest and most unique after market parts of all the Mini vendors. After browsing their site a had noticed that they even sell different body kits. These kits look as though they replace / cover (may be good or bad) the black trim on the car and from all appearances, do not look "over the top"!! This is exactly what I have been looking for. One problem... HOW CAN I GET THESE PARTS IN THE US!?!?? (short of learning Japanese) Does GUT sell and MANUFACTURE these body kits or (more likely) does GUT buy these parts from a separate manufacturer? If so, does anyone know the name of the company that does? (Maybe they are a US company or sell the part in the US) |

Offline | I would like to know too I have used a translator site that a MINI2 person suggested to translate to english. I was able to get as far the check out basket, but ran into snags there. Anyone know? They do have parts that I have not found on any other site. |

Offline | I sent GUT an email and recently received a reply. Basically they said, that they can't do international orders at this time, but that they would be doing so at some point in the future and that it would be announced on their web site when they do. Part of the problem looks like they don't have any english speakers on the staff since they had to use translation software to write a reply. So keep checking the web site occasionally and if you know anyone in Japan, you could place the order through them... |

Offline | I import Japanese aftermarket parts (primarily for Nissans)and I'm sure that my partner in Japan would have no problems getting ahold of this stuff. Thanks for turning me on to this site! I'm going to have to get the carbon inner fenders and the carbon emblem on my next shipment right away! Let me know if anyone wants anything. One thing I can't tell is if the interior items are actually carbon fiber. Some of it looks like a print. Which would suck. Joe Chen Reflex Racing Houston, TX 03 MC black Reflex Racing Houston, TX |

Offline | I'm fairly certain that the parts are not just prints. Most of them show more than one side and they are the same colors. However, that is probably the question that nags all of us about the parts (particularly at those prices). So let us know what the parts are when you get them. I'm sure everyone would like to know for certain. |

Offline | Ok the inner fenders are real carbon fiber and they attach over the stock pieces with double sided tape. Not sure how much I like that, but I guess it's better that way in case you get any wheel rub. All of the GUT carbon fiber exterior pieces except the mirror covers are real carbon fiber. All of the GUT interior pieces are carbon look which sucks. The "COOPER" badge is carbon look, but still pretty cool. I'll have to see how low I can get the price to justify it though. Still working on pricing. Tell me what you guys want? Like the ducktail spoiler? Lower lips? Reflex Racing Houston, TX |

Offline | When you say the interior pieces are "Carbon look", does that mean they are plastic with a surface designed to look carbon. Are the Chrome pieces really chromed then? Still if it is a solid piece of whatever, that does sound substantially better than the paste on kits. Thanks |

| 'til death do us part | I want, I want, I want: The body color headlight inserts. However, I'm wondering if the painted areas would impact the headlight performance. Wouldthis type of set up would work with my non-xenon headlights? More than idle curiousity, I guess. But then we move into "AAACCKKK" territory. Per xe.com on 7 July 2003, 180,000 Yen is approx. $1,500 US. For a pair of headlights! Any body got a can of liquid yellow spray paint, some masking tape & an extra screwdriver? The chrome windshield washer dispensers look pretty trick to me, and at 8,000 Yen ($67US), are a relative bargain. |

Offline | Yes I realize that the price is exorbitant for all of these items. I am working to get a good discount off of retail in order to have a sustainable market for these products in the US. The Japanese market just has ridiculous amounts of disposable income. If you can buy an import car there, you are loaded enough to afford stupid high accessories. ![]() "Carbon look" means plastic with a carbon pattern printed on it. To me that is just cheesy. I prefer the stick-on stuff so long as it's made of real carbon fiber. The kit that I picked up from MiniMania is carbon fiber imbedded in a flexible encapsulant. Still kinda cheesy, though. I do wish that someone made complete CF panels but the cost would be very high. I was hoping that the GUT stuff was simply because of the price, but that is not the case. The GUT chrome stuff is chromed plastic. Reflex Racing Houston, TX |

Offline | Actually CTD does have a lot of items that are similar to the GUT line with a lot better pricing. I'll probably be buying some stuff from there myself! ![]() I'm still pricing out some of the GUT stuff that no one else seems to offer. Stuff like this always takes forever... ![]() Reflex Racing Houston, TX |
