Offline | wheel reflectors i figured out some mods i want to do to the wheel reflectors on the front and rear fender arches question is i located the front screw..that is on the back of the wheel reflector. i cant get to the top screw..how do i open that? and secondly how do i remove the rear fender reflectors? thanks for your help ![]() 2003 CR MCS and 2007 CR MCS (on order) |

Offline | well you guys have to tell me how to take them off first i will try tonight once the wheels are off i want to take a finished product pic (hope i can do it) then post pics...dont want to let the cat out of the bag yet max-- i have had a 1991 RHD crx sir in the states...didnt pass any smog laws especially in CA i have had a turbo charged 1993 integra, that didnt pass any laws either my mini already has 3 things on it that are not legal, so laws arent my biggest worry, being different from everybody else however, IS ![]() 2003 CR MCS and 2007 CR MCS (on order) |

Offline | Personally, ignore the laws. its really unlikely you'd get caught for messing with those reflectors. But, if you ever look sideways, and you're in the dark, those reflectors are totally necessary. I'll see cars all the time at dark intersections and only see the side reflectors, not even the headlights because they're not shining against anything. I always wondered why the US had the side reflector requirement after seeing all the Euro MINIs without them, but honestly, its amazingly obvious why if you look for them. Of course, if you're in CA, its pretty well lit all the time, so you won't have as much problems I'd think. I'd also be inclined to think few people know how to remove them because they're useful and safe, so its an unpopular mod. (The MINI ones also look way better then most where there's ugly orange on the side of the headlights that wrap around) But do let us know what you do once its done.... Magic 8-ball was correct.
