Has anyone seen the hamann fuel cap yet? Ok, i think it looks great, but what the deal with the price on it ($450 U.S.)? Anyone have some insight as to way it is so expesive?

I just got the new Mini Mania catalog in the mail today, And I noticed they are selling Hamann products now, and honestly I'm with you, thats a sweet looking cap but IMHO overpriced. They are selling the fuel cap for 495, eek.

I must admit I have admired the Hamann petrol cap a few times but at the end of the day it is purely cosmetic

Seems like the Hamann logo is worth $400 of the $450/495

well its $1000 here in australia!

i really couldn't justify spending that much on a small mod .. and i agree with warped. its cosmetic..

i have to say though, i like hamann products, the handbrake leaver is nice and the pedals are nice too

looks very similar the the Hamman, might be it can't tell. In any case a whole lot cheaper. Is that currency the Euro? Made my statement of a whole lot cheaper by comparing prices of products carried by both minispares and this site, being that i don't know what currency it's in.

anyway thoughts on the cap?

169 Euros would be about $200

still think the hamann one looks the best.

thats not 100% correct. If you are live outside from Europe, then will be the price exclude german VAT. (16%)

Then will be the price appr. 169USD.
