The top bulb is your main beam.

Bottom bulb is the full beam.

I know from driving my car toward any available reflective window to check it out

H7

The high beam is behind the little rubber cover. I'm not sure what the dipped beam cover looks like on the halogens (I have xenons on mine for the dipped beam).

Brighter Dipped or Full-beam - Your choice?

Where to put the Philips Vision Plus, or similar upgrade bulbs?

Surely, doesn't it just depend on whether you want brighter dipped beam or brighter full beam, or both? The bulbs are exactly the same (H7) in the upper reflector (dipped beam) and the lower reflector (full beam).

I've just put Vision Plus in the full beam, 'cos they weren't bright enough for me on the country lanes (it's made some difference, though not major). Dipped beam seems to be fine for "normal" driving.

The front fog lamp bulbs are also H7, I think, so you can also put them in there if you want. This seems a waste of money, though?
