United-Kingdom Lowering ???

Hi, ive got an 02, minil one with cooper exhaust and 8 spoke 15's. I was cleaning her the other day and noticed that i could see quite far under the front wheal arch! Is there any one who can lower it and if so, what price would i be looking at?
Thanks, luke

Hi, I was also thinking about lowering, but some people have been giving me a whole list of reasons why I shouldn't :/

Could someone who's dropped their car please give me some advice. How is the ride now, is it really that bumpy? Would you recommend it?

Thanks

i'd recommend lowering the mini.

im on eibach springs (-20mm) the handling is much better, the ride is firmer (which i like, other may not) and the car's stance is vastly improved.

down sides are, on bi speed bumps and multistory carparks etc etc you will catch your front bumper, but only a little on the very bottom lip, so i wouldnt worry. fitting cost of springs are high unless (like me) you do it yourself, its fairly easy.

want to know anything else?

Thx very much . Do you happen to have any photos?

Bit of a shame ref speed bumps, as there are several on the way to work.

There is a place in Bromsgrove, not far from the school called Chip Tuning - see advert on here will do Eibachs fitted for £280

I'm going to have them do some for me in next couple of months I think as I'm not paying JCW prices

Yep!!

Thing is, I just don't get mechanical stuff. It's not like I'm stupid (I mean, I have a good job that you need to be pretty clever to do, a degree, speak a foreign language) and I'm not clumsy either (I'm pretty good at sport, and play in local leagues) and I can fix computers, programme the video and set up a surround sound system. But stick me in front of a car with a spanner, and it starts quaking!

Spare me... it's the kind of thing nightmares are made of!

My Dad has just built his own canal boat (installed engine, heating, hydraulics, plumbing, the lot). You would have thought some of his mechanical prowess might have rubbed off, but not a bit of it! Mind you, you should see him with his laptop and mobile trying to get on the Internet. Expletive explosion!

Bought the Eibach's for £100, and getting them fitted for £100, with full alignment afterwards. It's not what you know, it's who you know

Eyed up the speed bumps to and from work - think we'll be OK.
