hello im thinking bout putting bonnet stripes on my black mini cooper anyone got pics of this andim also thinking bout putting the 2 extra chrome headlamps where the grill is situated has any one got pics of this as well..black mini coopers only

Nah don't have MSN - sorry!

I ordered the stripes & lights when I ordered my MINI, the stripes were £50 factory fitted (though I have added the John cooper signatures myself), the lights were £250 dealer fitted.

Both can be retro fitted, there are loads of places out there that sell the stripes much cheaper than you'll be able to get them from your dealer. I don't know how much the lights are without fitting. You can fit them yourself.

Ah yes - the chromed 'pollen filter' vents , they were a one-off done by a lad I know who's got his own chroming business - no chance of any more either, he's stopped doing the plastic stuff now - it's a long story!

Where was that - not ChromeDesign was it? Apparently they're charging £180.00 a pair for 'em
You can get the 'pollen filter' grille surrounds which are basically a chrome ring that sits over the plastic around the edges, but I haven't seen any like mine for sale up to now.

I've got John Cooper signatures on mine, I brought them from John Cooper Garages, off their website. There the smaller ones designed for the original mini but they look better than the BMW ones (opinion)which are way too big, the pic at the top of the page looks like its got the small ones on.

Yes mine are the ones for the Classic Mini, to be honest I haven't seen the larger ones but I think you're right anything bigger would look odd.

razor i can get the same ChromeDesign as ur mini that kinda thing near the wipers, the chrome surounding and the chrome centre piece..the piece u sed was original..where did u get ur intakes on the side of ur mini from..how much are signatures of j cooper fort he stripes on the bonnet

The same place as I got me pollen filter vents.
Again these were original (I've had them since October last year) but one of the MINI spares places does 'em, but they're over £50 a pair!

Thinking about it - I saw them on their demonstrator on the Heartbeat Run earlier this year - however they were NOT chromed they were painted silver!

Anyway, back to the subject matter at hand. Here's my black Mini with lights and stripes

Just fitted new 18" wheels. 4 spot works lamp bar from Minisport. stripes with Cooper sig. I had the signatures redone specially done smaller as I found they were too in your face. Botched putting on the chequered roof decal[ not enough water] so I just ran 3 squares from the front to the back across the centre.- looks cool. Chrome John Cooper sig beside side vent. and one to the rear. set off with chrome number plates and mirror covers. I added a thin red stripe from to race stripes to complement the interior. makes the stripes more individual.
