Offline | Dear All, Am picking up my new IB/W Cooper in a couple of weeks, and am keen on getting a couple of circular white number stickers on the side. Does anyone make magnetic ones? If so, where from, do they come off at speed and any pics?? If not, does anyone recommend any web-sites to buy some of the normal sticky ones from? And like many others have already said, thanks to everyone for making this site so interesting and getting me through this interminable wait!!!! Toby Toby |

Offline | Hi. I have the circular white numbers on my MINI. They're vinyl and I got them from www.minicooperparts.com in the US. The look great, lay flat and are relatively easy to apply. I have had a problem with them when the weather is really cold (40F), they can fly off at high speed. Good thing, though, is when you buy them from minicooperparts, they give you four. Check out my gallery for some pics. To be honest, I'm thinking about picking up a set of the magnetic ones. It's a bit of hassle to remove and reapply the decals when I get the car washed. With the magnetic numbers, it seems like you can just peel them off and slap them on again. I found a site (US again, sorry!) that sells them. It's http://www.edecals.com/custom/door_numbers.html[/url] Good luck. |

Offline | ???You have to take them off when you wash the bloody thing?! Jeez, I'm ignorant - I thought you stuck them on and they were there for life! Those magnetic ones sound like the right option, and thanks for the links Spaceboy. Does anyone know anywhere that sells them in the UK? Toby Toby |

Offline | I've read about this question of legality but there doesn't seem to be any consensus. Frankly, if the rozzers want to pull me over because of a couple of numbers then I'm quite happy to argue the toss with them as it's patently ridiculous. Mind you, I wouldn't mind seeing all those Foxton agents thrown behind bars... Toby |
