Contrary to many MINI owners opinions, I actually want a front plate (Brit design) on my MINI. I have drilled two small holes where the dimples are in the bumper and used a couple of sheet metal screws to attached to the very thin plastic bumper. Needless to say, it does not feel very solid and I can't figure out how to get anchors of some sort on the back of the bumper without pulling the whole thing off, which I really don't want to do. I'm also not wacky about using double-stick. Any ideas?

Unless you get some plugs that expand as you put them in can't see how you could do anything else other than remove front bumper. let us know if you want to know how, done it once or twice on mine.

The mount I have, it has 2 hooks that hook under the single slat in the lower grill. Then theres 2 screws that go into the bumper that secure it. Then you just screw the plate onto the mount.

Adam,
Where'd you get the hooks anyway? That sounds like an excellent solution and I'd like to get my hands on a couple of the hooks.

I got it from the dealer.
Actually, it was supplied with the car, since the license plates are mandatory over here.
