Question Removing front plate mount?

I am getting my PS/B MC in about 3 weeks and was wondering how I can remove the front license plate mount. I am in FL so I am not required to have it.

Anyone here remove it on theirs?
Will there be holes left in the bumper?
Are there pieces to fill the holes?

I may put a Euro plate on there instead.

Thanks!

There are 2 screws holding the front plate mount in behind the license plate. Pull on the bottom to release the adhesive tape and the plate mount will slide down and out. The remaining indention is sized for a European plate.

Holes?

Hey, thanks for the info. I am guessing there are 2 holes left in your bumper if you don't put a Euro plate on.

I heard there is something you can put in to fill those holes.

Is this correct?

There are two holes and I guess you could putty and paint them. Or your could use the license plate screws that came with my car. They had these little white plastic caps for the heads. You could paint those to body color. Honestly, I would worry more about the ridiculous looking indention rather than some little holes. My car is black so it hides the indention a little better, but it still looks retarded.

front plate mount

Thanks for the info. Do I need to be real careful when I pull to release it from the adhesive? Will it damage the bumper?

Thanks.

Nah, the adhesive tape isn't that strong. It's the thick spongy type. Just make sure you don't pull so hard that when it DOES give that you fly backwards and break the upper tabs.

Anyone actually do the putty-fill in and paint job? I've got the nice holes in the front of my car...although I still think the holes look better than a big 'ol plate on the front...

Steve - great idea! Sounds MUCH cleaner than dealing with putty. Thanks!
