turn signal indicators.. from orange to white?

A search of the forums "signal bulbs", turned up wattage (21w) but no other information.

I'm looking into replacing the front orange indicator bulbs with white so as to see no orange reflection in the lens. Any product codes I should look for, or is it one of them "take-out-and-compare" dealies?

These lamps are made both by Osram...
http://www.powerbulbs.com/products/p...d=osd&type=IND

and by Philips...
http://www.powerbulbs.com/products/product.php?prodid=p

The links are from Powerbulbs in the UK, where I bought my set of Osrams. They do ship to the US, and yes, when they advertise free shipping, it means free to the US as well.

I haven't seen the Philips lamps in the flesh, but in photos they look somewhat clearer than the Osrams, which have an irridescent blueish cast to them (which I don't find at all objectionable).

BRG/W MCS, Sport/Premium/Cold pkgs, leather, woodgrain dash, magnesium casings w/anthracite trim.

They are 'standard' indicator bulbs, see this FAQ too: http://www.mini2.com/forum/thread23640_.html

Helpful FAQ Paul.

What kind of specs should I look for in a replacement (i.e., wattage, any other convention codes for sizes/fitment--more stress on the codes)?

I know why you're worried, I was too, didn't want the wrong ones, but when shopping for indicator bulbs (for example on PowerBulbs' site) they only have one type of indicator bulb, and it fits.

I've already been pulled by the police for 'foglights' on (sidelights). I doubt it, but they might get me on this!
