Offline | I'm interested in buying/applying some white boot stripes to my BRG MCS. Can anyone share with me pictures of their boot stripes? I need to go with the more traditional, symmetric, two white stripe layout, since that's how my bonnet is set up. I want some to match with my factory installed white bonnet stripes. I know CooperFlags is out there, but has anyone used other vendors for these? Can anyone share with me the skill level needed to DIY? Also, has anyone seen magnetic versions of boot stripes or static cling versions? Thanks. ![]() |

| heh...lame | I would stay away from magnetic ones. You need to take them off daily so no moisture will ruin the clearcoat. Same with static cling. I am also looking at getting boot stripes like you are. The best way I have seen is to take the CooperS badge off, and apply the stripe, then reapply the badge. I think it looks stupid having the stripe stop around the badge. I have not yet looking very far into getting it done, just something that I may end up doing. "Just keep heading into the wind. Offline | HERE HERE TO BRG AND WHITE STRIPES!! - the best color combo IMHO See my personal gallery for more pictures. http://www.mini2.com/gallery/persona...ry_uptick.html I installed the bonnet and boot stripes myself. With patience and attention to detail, you could do it yourself too. It would help to measure and cut out some templates and tape them up to your boot for placement, before you actually start working with the actual stripes. Then with everything just right, outline the placement of your templates with masking tape on your boot, trace your templates on your stripes, and cut them out. Then following the directions for applying the stripes, making sure to squeegee out all the bubbles from underneath the stripes, especially around the contours of the boot. |
