I've got the factory-installed black vinyl stripes on my MCS. I noticed today there's a spot, maybe 1/4" square, where the black surface seems to be worn away, and now it shows white. It's definitely not a stone chip, there's no indentation. My best guess is that it's the result of a bird dropping that ate away the black surface of the vinyl.

Anyway... any ideas on how to fix this? I could apply some black paint, but if it looks bad it's not reversible.

I suppose a small piece black electrical tape would do the trick

TIA... and my apologies if this has been answered already, my searches came up empty.

I say its a factory defect - have the dealer replace it! There's no reason for the black stripes to not be solid color throughout! I have minor scratches on mine and you can't find a marker or pen that'll match the color.
