Question Re Driver's-Side Mirror

Are the Mini driver's-side mirrors on cars delivered to European countries the same as the ones on the Minis sent to the U. S.? The reason I ask is that on all of the cars that I have rented in Germany, the driver's-side mirrors were curved on the far edge of the mirror so that the view of a car passing on the left is visible the entire time thereby eliminating the bad dead spot entirely. Are such mirrors available as a special order?

Thanks.

I've driven a MINI with these, I found it horrible. Really REDUCED the visibility on the side that had the convex mirror.

I agree, other car's I've driven with these make it plain harder to see any car behind in the wing mirror.

Thanks for your replies. I think I may just add one of those small round spot mirrors.
