Just thought I too would thank Neo personally for his help getting me in a new car (which I am picking up tomorrow). But not thank him for the wind-up phone call that he just gave me...(as if I wasn't nervous enough already) git

he'd had a call to speak to MINI finance re: me, which he had informed me about in an earlier call.
Rang back 10 mins later (fealt like longer ) and said the finance had fallen through because of the amount of finance I want ... at least i think that's what he said I was to busy sobbing on my computer the call had actually been nothing to do with that at all, it was just because my car was a reject that they needed a word.... like I said.... GIT!!!
That'll teach me to trust a MINI Sales Specialist lol.

What happens with the bulbs??

Do you have to buy different bulbs for the white lights? or can you swap them over from the originals?

Hold on, ive got a plan!!

The bulbs are included in the lamps!

The guys at BMW charge a load of cash for fitting the clear lights, BUT they also fit red reflectors lower down in the bumper (looks like they have to cut part of the bumper away to do it). Clear lights are illegal unless your car has separate red reflectors. Mind you, I can't see the old bill getting worked up about it, let alone noticing it in the first place.
And yes - in some lights the bulbs appear blue under there - which is great if you have an Indi Blue Cooper. I had mine done together with clear side repeaters last week - cost a rather handsome £390 to buy the parts and have them fitted (fitting was about £140 ), but I have neither the time nor the skill to do it myself so I just bit the bullet - wish I had taken a look first - I must admit it does look as though even I could change them!

try fitting the high level, third clear brake light if you've got the chili package spoiler!

Much fun, force and frolics.

Three bolts to undo, then copious amounts of double sided trim tape underneath the spoiler. Although, with a bit of force the spoiler only has to be leavered up on one side, to allow enough room to fit the light.

Take your time, and try not to scratch the car when seperating the tape with a knife!

p.s DON'T drop the bolts into the boot cavity - NIGHTMARE!

Clear lenses fitted

Hi monsta,I think the clear lenses definately improve the look of your car, they look awful on black or yellow minis though. They look sensational on pure silver.

I think that they look great on the Red cars too, used to love mine!

Saw them on a Black and White Cooper for the first time today and really didnt like them at all, just didnt look right with the black, which is dissapointing as it would be one of the first things that I would have got if I go for All Black with the Works S

Dunno what you two are on about, clear lense look pretty cool on black minis.

Another thing for thought is that BMW shoul supply tinted lenses for the darker cars, may make em look real stealthy.

Cheers Guys

As for the tinting, apparantly it will be a £100 option on the '03 models
