HID Kits

has anyone installed a HID kit on a non-xenon Mini? if so, what kit and how was the installation/results?

I think i've read through all the threads on this and i didn't come across anyone who actually used an aftermarket hid kit on a non-xenon mini....some have talked about it and pointed to some websites but i haven't read about anyone actually doing it. My concern, as others have pointed out, is the lack of the auto leveling system and washers and how much of a real concern this would be.

I installed a HID kit on my SUV with no auto leveling system and washers. But it work great, it's even brighter than my MINI, so I think HID kit is good to have.

1962 mini, 2004 MCS, 2003 MCS, 1965 mini

I am probably wrong but i have heard it is illegal not to have the auto leveling system.
