Australia Driving Light Placement

I am thinks of puting some lights infront of the mesh grill on my new cooper(more for the look than to provide extra light). It is already slightly covered by the number plate

Is this a bad idea? Will it interfere too much with air flow to the engine?

Any threads that i should be looking at? I did a search but couldn't find anything

Thanks for any help or suggestions

Under normal conditions they should be alright, however, here's a few factors to think about. How big are the lights? You don't want to block too much of the air flow as this affects not only the motor cooling but the A/C efficiency, also. What's the weather like where you're at? If you're summers are consistant 90+ temps, I'd think twice about mounting the lights there. Lastly, keep in mind if you do use the lights, the lower you mount them, the less satisfactorily they'll work.
