United-Kingdom Switchable chrome plate-surrounds

So a good few of you have chrome (or stainless steel) plate surrounds.
I'm looking for the same, but am very keen to get a design that will allow the licence plates to be swapped in and out easily. I have a pair of signature plates that I put on at shows, so i'm looking for a surround that will allow me to take out the street legal plates and replace with the signature plates (and vice versa) relatively easily and quickly. It would be nice to put the show plates in the surrounds, rather than just sticking them over the top ?

Can anyone make any recommendations ?

Hmmmm. Interesting conundrum.

I'm not aware of anyone that makes a chrome plate holder where you could switch plates easily. The ease of switching plates would compromise the security of the legal plate i.e. it could be stolen or come loose on bumpy roads. Lorries have plate holders, but these are normally squarish and unlikely to be chrome.

The only possible solution is to drill holes in your show plates - not ideal I know as you'd probably prefer to keep the plate "clean". Both front and rear number plates have there own screw points - so all you would need is a philips screwdriver to swap plates over. The other problem is that the existing legal front legal plate may not align with the screw holes on the bumper once you add the chrome surround.
