Hi all,

I'm interested to see if anyone has racing stripes applied in the uk. There seem to be quite a few in the states but for such a British piece of styling (as opposed to the viper stripes) I'm surprised I haven't seen any here.

So anyone got them? I need to see the competition you see…

Hmm can you advise? what are racing stripes? how do they differ from bonnet stripes?

Hopefully I can help. By default I think we have coined the term "racing stripe" Paul, thi is what we sent to you for your MINI.
Here is a set of Frost Racing Stripes on a CB MC.

I like them, I haven't seen them anywhere. However I have white bonnet stripes. IMHO cars without the stripes look a little naked.

Thanks 'Bad S MINI', exactly what I was talking about. I've seen quite a few of these in the cooperflags gallery but none so far in the UK. I'm getting quotes at the moment to have them applied to my new 'S', I was just wondering how unique it was going to be?

Oh for those interested it's EB/W with white stripes (hopefully).

I havent got racing stripes but the company that id all my vinals will make ANYTHING up you like to order and they are really cheap.. their web site is http://www.modernimages.co.uk/grafix/page1.html.
the guy there has already got the dimentions of the minis cause he did all mine for me, so if ou just show him a picture or explain what you want he will be able to post it to you if you are not local or if you are he will fit it for you.

I am so pleased with all the stuff he did for me, looks loads better than some of the offical stuff. Hvae a look at my gallery if you like!

I have racing stripes ala photo No.1 but never managed to get them fitted as I've rejected the car they were for.

I'm considering stripe options for my new IB/IB 'S', but not sure yet...

Paul - you need to get these stripes in Metallic Silver for your MCS. They tie in the silver wheels in a great way and they look awesome on the IB.

Now I am sure this has been discussed before, but I would like to "finish" the factory bonnet stripes down the front bumper and down the back side, but not on the white top. Where can I get some white stripes with the black pin stripe to finish it?

I just got some small pin stripes to attach down the side.. much cheeper or you can get them printed on this web side will do them. the stipes I think are £15 and you can have them with the pin strip down the side or you can just get the small black strips.

Some great looking designs there... however I still haven't seen any uk racing stripes. Looks like I may be the first afterall (although I can't believe that).

Well got the car, the stripes and nice new wheels... shame it's so dirty at the moment but I figured I'd post a pic anyway. Hopefully I'll take a few more this w/e.

JCW installed next w/e to finish it off.
