I was too chicken to do them myself, and too worried a shop might mess them up, so I still have a set of stripes sat in a box!

It's a tough one, you love your MINI, so don't want to screw it up, but do you trust someone else any more than yourself?

I would try to get personal recomendations of a good fitter, otherwise it could be expensive if you get it wrong.

For any UK MINI owners, I can recommend Darren Wilkins of CitySigns, Worcester.

He's doing me some custom graphics for my MCS and has been really helpful. As for fitting them, he reckons that he can do it in 45 mins.

Go on....'ave a go yourself!!

Me and my mate from work fitted the flag to my Coopers roof!!

Buttock clenching job that was!!

Mind you, a few years ago now!, I did used to be in charge of fitting the graphics to airport crash vehicles at work!

Funnilly enough, we've always got the vinyls custom made from City Signs, who now supply and fits them.

Its not that hard and its quite impossible to bugger the actual MINI, the worst that could happen is you bugger the stripes, but if you follow the destructions you should be fine

ok.. thank you all for your opinions (that made me even more confused! )
but.. what about air bubbles between the paint and the scotchprint/vynil?
is it a real possibility?

Well I started installing the CF UJ on my sunroof yesterday and I had part of the backing come off and stick to the decal.
Now half is still stuck to the roof and am waiting a confirmation from amtt at Cooper flags to see what to do. It wasn't that hard to start to install, but it is tedious. It would suck ruining $150 in a blink of an eye.

well, in the poll I said I did it myself, but the truth is I had my 9 year old son do most of the work. I'd have to say it's just about impossible to mess up.

take your time and work slowly and you'll get through it. Lots of soapy water and squeege from the center outwards.

You gotta just do it... I stalled and stalled, worried I'd mess it up. Fianlly put the roof cheqs on, took my time, and was mad I waited so long to do it!

Trust not the heart of a man for whom old clothes, and the Mini, are not venerable!

Very nice, rinos. Except you shouldn't have applied the yellow part to your windscreen!
