anyone know how to remove and replace the mirror caps?

u can just click them of...i've done it . It's not really hard but be carefull for the little lips which u can damage ...u don't want that to happen..

Can you elaborate? I was sure they clip on since there were no visible screws. But where and with what tool did start prying?

Just do what i did and reverse into the garage door post they soon pop off.....

Do a search for 'spoons', I posted a detailed How to on this when I put my chrome mirrors on.

All the search engine does is show your thread answering me about searching for spoons....no luck. Can you give me a quicki summary? Pleeeeeaasee
