Offline | Remove license plate molding from front bumper? Hi all. I just bought my Cooper yesterday, after looking at them for more than two years. Very excited. Question. Here in Georgia, we don't have to have front license plates. Is there a way to replace the molding so that you don't have that red license-plate shaped plate-holder on the front bumper? How expensive / difficult is this? Just seems like it would clean up the front lines a lot. |

Offline | Welcome to MINI2. Congratulations on the car purchase, its tradition to post some pictures when you get a chance in the general forum. I assume you have a Cooper since they come with the bracket installed. You'll want to follow the directions Kitlyn has linked (just start at http:// and paste the URL) Remember that when you remove the license plate bracket, you'll have a Euro sized plate space. I'm not sure if there will be holes in the bumper or not. If you have a Cooper S and your dealer installed the bracket for you, you'll have the bracket on top of an actual bumper, which will just leave you with two holes, (you can fill them with colored matched bumper plugs, if you search for bumper plugs you can find information on them, but they're a bit pricy). Magic 8-ball was correct. All be in awe of Magic 8 ball. |
