really want these chrome mesh rear bits to replace the black on the cooper s...think it makes the standard bumber look like the aero kit one...but i am a bit worried about this pic as it seems to let the real bumber strip of the car which looks red in the photo...is this just this car or is the bare metal bumber beneth the bumper cover red??

www.mini2.com/products/minispares MiniSpares sell these, and Simon from there said that the car in the photo is painted.

would you have to remove the bumper cover to fit these or could you just with bendy arms and hands get in behind from underneth to fit them?

don't have my cooper s to go check

You wont have to take the bumper off, skinny/bendy arms work fine. There is silver heat shield behind the black plastic. I took mine out to install some red reflectors to them (clear tails).
