Hi

Does anyone know where I can get some black bonnet stripes with the white edging for a Cooper S, I seem to only be able to see the solid ones in the usual websites. Obviously I could go back to the dealer but thought I may as well DIY them.

Sorry if this is covered somewhere but haven't found it.

Oh, and ideally not limited to PayPal...

Any sign shop dealing with vinyl should be able to cut the material for you.

www.idlegear.co.uk and www.cooperflags.com will make them up for you no problem, your dealer sells them too, and you can install them yourself if you wish.

I've got these fitted to my IB/B S. Bought them direct from Wollaston MINI in Northampton and fittend them myself, piece of cake !!

Didn't want to have to use PayPal (CooperFlags) and Idle Gear didn't seem to mention the pinstripe. Sounds like I'll be dropping Idle Gear a mail to place my order as it looks like they build to order.

Indeed Kev at Idlegear will work with your ideas, I put him through hell while I was trying to decide on my stripes. He sent some .jpg's over to me, we ended going back and forth a little.

I ended up ordering the stripes and a full edge to edge large chequer for the top, came to about $100 shipped to the US. Quite the deal......

Nice products, excellent service from them.

Contact us direct if you don't want to use PayPal. We can do the standard bonnet stripes in any 2 colors that you want. Check our Gallery pages for several options. We ship about 10-15 orders per month to the UK so it's not a problem for us to do.

If you don't want to spend much money do like I did,

I had white stripes fitted and customised them by putting thin red stripe at either edge.
50p Red piping tape from Halfords or any auto store and they look totally original and bespoke. if you don't like em peel em off. Had em for over a year now and a lot of people ask where I got my bonnet stripes from.....secret out.
