Offline | Can't be too hard....I've got a spare rear at home, if nobody else comes through I'll take some pics of the mounting points and post them here. Won't be till the end of the day though, maybe tommorw at the latest. |

Offline | Well I've done it now! ![]() If moderators can link this thread would be helpful! To remove rear bumper for a 2004 Spec Cooper: Unscrew the 3 screws underneith the black plastic (as looking from the floor) along the edge of the bumper. This will allow the black plastic "under tray" to come loose at the rear of the car. Almost in the centre (push aside the undertray bit) you will see an 8mm Bolt, unscrew it. Next inside the Rear Wheel wells, unscrew the 2 push caps (2 for each side). 1 is directly inside the wells (your likely to need to remove the rear wheels for ease) the the other is much lower and almost on the "edge" of the bumper nearer the floor. Then pull the rear of the rear archs off (needs a sharp yank but easy enough and re fix's easily). This will reveal a screw attaching the bumper to the rear arches. Unscrew both sides. Now, opening the boot will reveal 2 black "rubbers" protruding out, in the bottom corners. Pull these off to reveal 2 more screws. Undo these. Next you'll need to pull out the rubber seal for the boot. Just for the bit around the rear bumper. Next you'll need to "prise" the centre of the bumper away from the body near the boot catch. When you do this the bumper should come easily away. I used a piece of cardboard to protect the body work and a large flat scre driver. Be careful now as you need to disconnect the wire to the reverse light before placing bumper down. And done! Hope this helps. If a little late for me ![]() ![]() |
