Offline | White Roof Poll: Who's interested in a white static cling sunroof decal? I'm trying to find out how many of you US folks with white roofs and sunroofs would be interested in getting a white static cling sunroof decal to hide the black sunroof. These would be removable so you could change between the white decal and a flag if you so choose. I have talked to the guy at my local graphics shop (AWESOME people by the way) and he said they can make these up for us. The more we buy, the less they'll cost. He will get back to me with a price sometime next week. THIS IS NOT A GROUP BUY AT THIS POINT. I'm just trying to see how much, if any, interest there is out there. This would be a one time thing. ![]() Nittany: '03 IB/W MCS with the ORIGINAL painted dash Dougal: '07 PW/Blue MCC Sidewalk, painted dash (of course) |

Offline | I will know the price sometime next week. I'm not looking to make money on this so whatever the cost is plus shipping is what I'll be looking for. This will be a one time group buy. Cooper Flags sells permanent decals. The one I'm looking at would be removable and re-usable in case you have a sunroof flag you'd like to be able to put whenever you feel like it. Only have one more picture of the dash: http://www.millpondminis.com/images/Dash2.jpg ![]() Nittany: '03 IB/W MCS with the ORIGINAL painted dash Dougal: '07 PW/Blue MCC Sidewalk, painted dash (of course) |

Offline | As I stated in my original post I do not have the price yet. The graphics guy will get back to me next week. Right now, I'm looking at solid (opaque) decals. He can do the perforated ones too, but they would cost more. ![]() Nittany: '03 IB/W MCS with the ORIGINAL painted dash Dougal: '07 PW/Blue MCC Sidewalk, painted dash (of course) |

Offline | Thanks. Fixed the link. I accidentally posted this poll twice and somehow must have responded to GMINIO3's post in the other thread over in this one. ![]() Nittany: '03 IB/W MCS with the ORIGINAL painted dash Dougal: '07 PW/Blue MCC Sidewalk, painted dash (of course) |

Offline | It seems to work well in the photo's, what it like in 'real life', were you happy with it? Did they puts a sealing coat of varnish on it to stop it getting scratched (I am assuming its IB in colour, although it looks very bright in the photo?) |

Offline | I am very happy with it. I have no idea if it's got a clear finish on top of it, but it's holding up well. It is IB, same as the exterior. That photo in my sig is a bit over-exposed. ![]() Nittany: '03 IB/W MCS with the ORIGINAL painted dash Dougal: '07 PW/Blue MCC Sidewalk, painted dash (of course) |

Offline | I thought it might be, digital cameras have a habit of messing up the colour on interior shots.... Looks good, you must be proud. Nice to have something no one else has got.... |

Offline | OH!!!! I saw that "ignore this post", and I thought she was talking about the post inside the thread. I was thinking, hmm, why doesn't she just delete it instead of apologizing! Then I started see answers to questions I wasn't seeing, and well it kinda freaked me out. GMINI03, feel free or whoever is Mod to trash this thread, including my post. They aren't significant anyway! I'll post to the correct one. |

Offline | Jersey Girl Saw your post on MCO also. I can also get you a price for these if you are interested. A white static cling application is pretty inexpensive and we already have the CAD file for the sunroof design. We were going to offer these at one time, but I've heard of several people having them fly off while driving down the highway. I'll get a price on them over the weekend just to compare what you are getting from your local guy. Matt |

Offline | Hey thanks Matt, I had contacted a company that makes static cling flags for the MINI and was quickly told they would not make a white one. I figured since you guys don't even mention static cling applications on your site you wouldn't be up for it either. That's when I went to my local shop. It will be interesting to compare prices. By the way, I followed the install directions on my static cling US flag and I've been on the highway up to 80 mph. That thing hasn't even peeled up slightly on the edges! ![]() Nittany: '03 IB/W MCS with the ORIGINAL painted dash Dougal: '07 PW/Blue MCC Sidewalk, painted dash (of course) |
