Offline | I think you missed Carvnit's point, he wants black painted. So you get the black look, but it looks finished because its paint, not plastic. And you avoid the hassle of keeping the plastic black. So the best option would be: 1. Plastic, for people who want to keep costs low 2. Painted body color 3. Painted Black or maybe even White Magic 8-ball was correct. All be in awe of Magic 8 ball. |

![]() 6X therapist | Not exactly missed, Black being a body colour so if they are availble in body colour then gloss metallic black or whatever would be availble, just to see what could be done we tried an Electric Blue 'S' with Liquid yellow bumpers spats and skirts, the result could be called an "aquired" taste, (no I did'nt photgraph it, it was hideous, and should never see the light of day) not likely to make it too production If I get time I'll see if we can come up with some more , or maybe Cooperation could get photoshopping??. ![]() |

Offline | I get the body color, but black could be nice on say PW, which isn't body color, so they should allow it to be chosen. I know someone on here managed to get a LY car with a red interior, it looked oddly like an add for McDonalds, I imagine CR arches on a LY car would do the same thing There's plenty of bad options.. With the new orange coming out, you could make an orange car with BRG arches, it'd look like a pumpkin.Magic 8-ball was correct. All be in awe of Magic 8 ball. |

| MINI2 Master | Hello, wanted to bring this up to the top again....any word on when. I have an Orciari kit that I am having painted and the paint shop didn't like the stock wheel arches (cheap plastic) and they didn't think the paint would hold up. I think there is a large pool of customers that want a better arch painted or not. I would put in an order right now....anyone know of an aftermarket wheel arch? Thanks ![]() |

| MINI2 Master | Will do. We got a tour of the factory a few weeks ago. Now that my line is back up I will post some pics and info. By the way all the products are very well made. I was so impressed that I ordered almost everything they made. Great stuff and they know how to treat their customers. I will PM you when I start the thread. |

Offline | I got my car back from garage last week, having had all the black trim removed smoothed flat ,primed, flexible coating, and painted in body colour as well as black front mesh below front and rear bumpers painted silver and air /pollen vents in body colour ,cost me £300 and its impossible to tell the difference between original paint work and recent additions. Main dealer wanted to charge £1500 for the same job |

Offline | I've just had mine done last week at a local BMW dealers. It took almost a week to do.They said it would be a complicated job,as they would have to remove the black trim and reclip them properly.Have seen some botch jobs where the arches have been reclipped to tightly and caused excessive puckering of the trim which is most apparent around the wheel arches. They charged £500+vat .They job was excellent and they gave me a BMW certificate and receipt as proof for my paintwork warranty.Did this in anticipation of the Heartbeat Run.Will try and post pics. ![]() |
