Question Rear Tail lights

Hi

I have a black mini and want to get some new tail lights for it... problem is im not sure where to get some really good ones. I've had a look on coolnew.co.uk and ordered some bazooka black ones from there, but Im not sure if they'll look right..

Also, i was wondering about leaving the originals on there and getting them smoked, but i dont know where i can get them done down south.

If anyone has any ideas or thoughts please feel free to let me know.

Thanks.

Amy

Hi Amy Welcome to mini2.com I "smoked" the rear lights on my previous Golf using a kit from Ripspeed. (It consisted of a coloured spray paint, and high intensity replacement bulbs) 3 years later, and they still look ok

Dave - thanks for the help. Have you ever been stopped for having smoked lights?

Gmini03 - thanks, i didnt know it was illegal though... maybe i should just stick to the bazooka's instead.

Hi Amy. Never stopped, and never failed an mot Coloured 'em blue, but the high intensity bulbs ensure the correct "reds & ambers" show when needed

I was think about opening my current lights and lightly spraying the clear lens with a thin coat of black tinting spray....... Has anyone ever done it??

Any ideas of the best way to do it?

tough way to go

Spraying them and getting it even is going to be a ra lchore I am afraid. I used the mylar kit that you can no get from Rspeed. It was perfectly cut and if carefull goes on with no problems.
