Which do any of you thinks looks better... I have a PS ONE, with sunroof, and would get a union jack (the american flags etc are just examples of the type of decal), but i'm mainly looking at colours. silver or traditional UJ colours? also, will u see the decal enough if it is only on the sunroof (so is it worth saving up the big bucks for the whole roof decal with perforated section?)




(bearing in mind that the roof outside would be silver)





also, i am getting black bonnet stripes and driving lights. all pictures belong to cooperflags.com.

any advice appreciated!

I like the PS with the silver/grey Union Jack, I think it set's it off really well. Otherwise you've got too much brightness on the roof, attracting attention away from the rest of the car.

IMO Normal UJ for Re and Blue cars, Silver/grey UJ for Black and silver cars.

Also, I think it's worth getting the full roof flag.

But, that's just my opinion. It's your car and you MUST be completely happy with the results. A bit like getting a tattoo.

Definatly the yellow cooper,the one with the complete roof covered but the sunroof perforated, and go for a silver grey effect union jack.

yeah, i've seen ur car, remember? the sunroof is a bit of a problem for any translucent/transparent decals, as the PS and black sections will come out differently on the different bits. i've found one that will work now though, just have to decide between whole roof or sunroof! i really like the whole roof but i think my dad (car's official owner) prefers the sunroof bit. ah well as long i save the money up i doubt he'll be that bothered.

has anyone fitted their own roof decals- are they difficult to do?

I fitted my own, but I have fitted large vinyl graphics before!

If you go for a whole roof flag and you have never done it before, then I would say get someone to do it for you who has. Especially seeing as you have the sunroof.

I quite like the first one. Have you got a pic of the sunroof with the silver Union Jack on it? I might be tempted to do that on my black ONE. I say go for the sunroof only option and don't go for the perforated version.... it will have more contrast. Sure, you will be able to see the design from inside but that would look kinda cool imho.

onemini, sorry i don't have any pics of the silver union jack (i would have posted if i did!) but i assume it will look roughly the same as the stars and stripes on PS. i got all the pics from cooperflags.com, they seem the best suppliers that i can find and have been really helpful.

GMINI03, or anyone else for that matter, with black bonnet stripes, do u think the sunroof only decal will show up enough? i mean will it look like i've stuck some stripes and lights on and given up...? my only qualm about the sunroof only one, is that u won't really see it enough. decisions decisions!

I think it really depnds on your roof color ... white is good full roof because most decals have white in it ... black or body color you obviously wanted that color for a reason and completely lose it if you go for full roof graphic IMO

personal opinion the sunroof only grey stars and bars 1st picture you posted is my all time favorite.
