Wales Front bumper removal

Fellow Mini Drivers

Had the unfortunate experience of hitting a Pit Bull Terrier recently,Luckerly at low speed. It still made a bang and put a lump in my throat.I thought I'd loss the front end.Made sure the Dog had run Off (chicken I know) and went to inspect. To my amasement not a mark,or so i thought.
When i was giving her ,her next shampoo to my Horror realised that the side/indicator lamp bottom bracket had come away from the bumper. This mean't bumper removal.Did a bit of research for a couple of weeks and found and excellent site
www.mini.uglydoris.com
On there is a great section on bumper removal
A couple of points though
1) You don't need to remove the front wheels
2) You don't need to remove the phillips screws in the wheel liner,or my Cooper (2003 Model) has a different set up .there are cut-out in the liner to get to the bolt either side using a socket(8MM).

All in all it took about 15 mins first time,When i did it the second time(Don't Ask) it was off in about 10 mins.
Very easy job,Don't be scared

Anyway back to my problem, the bottom fixiing on the bumper where the bottom screw attaches is extremly fragile.
Was able to repair thank god using Araldite and is know as good as new

Regards
the nuke

That looks relatively simple! I was dreading having to take my front bumper off but it looks a bit less daunting now!

Cheers,

Iain
