Rumour quash (shark fin).

OK, I've been staring quite hard into my crystal ball since more recent rumours started flying, and it appears I got it wrong, and so did my informant. For the forseeable future it appears there will not be a 'one size fits all' shark fin antenna.

I've found out quite a lot more recently though, and will be publishing some other forecasts soon, in addition to those here: http://www.mini2.com/news/news186.html

Gee, I'd like to know more about the promised new seats. The current S sport seats are awful. I'm rather petite and that lumbar support hits right in the wrong spot. If it weren't for the heating option, I would have tossed these seats a long time ago.

The impression I get is the 'new' seats will be slightly deeper and more grippy.

Well Paul, if you say it, it's got to be true... May be I saw the base of the whip antenna without the whip part ? But I'll go have another and closer look this week end in Zeebrugge... I'll keep u all posted ! If I am wrong, sorry for giving false hope to some ...

Personally I like the whip antenna too but the problem is that it can be stolen so easily ... :-(

Once more, you're right again Paul...

I've just been in Zeebrugge where they store all MINI's shipped to the continent and tried to get closer to the big parking lot... and I have also seen a whole trainload from closer... Yep they are indeed normal aerials but without the whip part (to avoid being stolen ?) So it does look just like a black shark fin antenna, but there is a small hole on the top to screw the whip part... I'm soooooo sorry, I was mistaken !

I hope I didn't give false hope to anyone ...

Enjoy the W.E. !

yep I did !

IN fact I discovered this huge parking lot when my dealer told me I could not add any option as my MOD/BRG had already arrived in Zeebrugge on the 14th June... Since it was on a saturday and I was so impatient, I decided to go to Zeebrugge and look all around till I found this BIG parking full of MINIs ready for shipping but I did not find mine of course ! (Neither yours unfortunately...)
But if you're around someday have a look ! It's niiiiiiiiiice :-)

i saw it the other day and i was really confused coz he didn't have sat nav
and so i said to myself ok i want one of them...and i was going to come on here and ask how i can get one...but anyway...basically just saying hi i dunno if what i just said even fits into what u guys are on abt!

i got an exhaust because i wanted to make my car sound fast, but its not fast at all, so therefore i am a ricer....

wsw, you can get the shark fin if you have sat nav, or phone prep.
however in the UK, we cant have phone prep...so no shark fin without sat nav for us!

Just fitted it to the roof

Doesn't have any function but to confuse other MINI owners and to look cool

the MINI has gone...

So whats your reception like them - did you have to take your roof lining out or how was it fitted?

It's not connected!

No need to take the roof lining completely out, just unclip the rear corner trim (the where the seat belts come from) and you can lower the roof lining enough to remove the bee sting.

As for the radio reception, I connected a powered glass mount aerial which has an internal booster. Reception is no worse than using one of those replacement short beestings people have.

CD's and MiniDiscs are better anyway

the MINI has gone...
