Does anyone get the OEM bodykit from the dealer and have them paint and install? How much do you pay? Last time they quote me about $2600 for everything, parts, paint, install. Is there anywhere I can get the OEM bodykit for cheaper?

Welcome to MINI2. Its called the aerokit (or aero kit) if you do a search for it, you'll find the info. You can buy it cheaper from a dealer that sells parts at a discount, but its rather large, so you might not want to have to ship it. You'll still need to get it painted and installed (though you could install it yourself) so if you know a body shop that will do good work for a good price, that'd be your option on saving money there, since you could buy it from your dealer as parts.

thats too expensive. i got mine fitted and painted plsu 4 spot lamps for £1600. dunno how much that is in dollars, but its less than your quote which is just for the kit.

According to the currency converter link at the bottom of each post £1600 is $2,693 so you didn't get much of a discount, but it is cheaper by a bit.

that quote sounds about right i was quoted $1000 for the side skirts only (painted)

ah, but i did, because if you read my post carefully, you'll see my costing also including fitting and wiring of 4 spot lamps :P

I read carefully, that's why I said a bit, a few hundred (£ or $) in savings. Not a great difference when its almost $3000, 10 or 15%. But still yes, its a better deal.
