obehave - come on, did you think I was acually suggesting that?

wouldn't you say that the big tires in the rear and little in the front is technically more rediculous tho? :white:

so when it all boils down to it, would you say that a difference in offset would be best for the wider skirts in the rear?

I love the look of the wider tires in the rear, but it doesn't make technical sense

I didn't think so but I also know it's easy to get misunderstood in a forum.

Agreed. If you have to step out the rear I'd do it through offset. Something about that makes me itchy though. Don't really know why, just feels wrong.

At the time I asked, it was because I tried fitting a 225/50R16 Hoosier and it wouldn't fit, even with a 45mm offset wheel. I'm guessing that the person was running 5mm spacers at a minimum.

So you know though, after doing some common sense math, the 225 is 3mm wider in both tread and section width. If I gained the 3mm of space with a spacer, the wheels would still be legal at 42mm (48mm being stock), and the tire would clear the strut.
That said, the reason to do this would be two-fold. You gain .3" of tread width per tire, and increase the overall diameter to lessen wheel spin (although robbing yourself of power in the process).

Thanks,
Brian

That's an S front valence only painted. Here's mine:

Those are also S skirts painted. I've attached a side shhot of mine.
The kit is listed as 10 pieces so it couldn't include the skirts. The front arch is 3 pieces and the rear arch is 2. x2 that's your 10 pieces.

I didn't realize that the front valence was different MC v. MCS. I sent a PM to thepilo asking a few questions and inviting him to join in on the conversation.

Hey Guys,

This is not a breyton Kit, but a Kit that was developed by a company in Tiawan that we do buisness with.

It is a replacement for all 4 wheel archs, but does not include side skirts or Front and rear valence. These are just sanded down and painted.

Let me know if there are any other questions.

Confirm that - I had the rest of the pieces painted.

By the way, anyone know what these wheels are? Can't find them anywhere for the life of me! Looks like a wider, deeper version of the factory wheels...

Those are 17" S-lites that have been sand blasted and polished and are probably installed with spacers.

I've thought about doing the same thing, since S-lites are being sold as cheap as $300, but they're rather heavy at 25.1lbs a piece

They're not S-lites - They're 7-spoke wheels and appear deeper at the center with the spokes going wider at the rim... Compare:

I started a thread with a few more pics in hopes someone will recognize them...
