I have my JCW MCS on order and I'd like to have the chrome line exterior with white mirror caps which apparently isn't possible...

On my current Cooper I have a chrome grille and white mirror caps. Anyone know why this isn't available on the S, or how I can get what I want?!

The dealer is getting in touch with BMW to discuss but I wonder if any of you clued up people might know...

Yeah I think someone asked this before. The only way you can do this is get the Chrome line exterior then buy the white mirror covers. However from past experience each mirror cover cost £63!!!

Don't see really why it would be such a struggle to do it from the factory though

Tragically it might have been me who posted this before - I just can't find it!

Seems so strange that you can have the option on a Cooper but not an S. Will keep making dealer pester BMW and let you know! Silly money to pay for a plastic cover, when you're paying enough to get the exact spec you want.... hey ho...

Yeah I know the covers are well expensive. At least they don't need painting too!

Luckily when I scratched mine I knew someone who works in a bodyshop so got them trade!

THats a bit pants, hopefully this will be resolved when I can afford an S.

Only option I suggest is find out whats cheaper. Buying 2 White Mirror Caps, or buying the front Chrome Grill (and if you want it the Chrome Boot Handle.)

Or just find a MINI2er who wants Chrome Mirrors who has white and just do a swap.

Surely there'll be someone who'd rather not pay out for Chrome Mirrors!

I'm promised by my dealer that he will make my dreams come true and whatever happens I will have my chrome grille and white caps. I suspect that he might just buy me the white caps and not tell me! What a legend...
