Here are pics of the new mirror caps, now available from your MINI dealer:

they are priced at £80 for the pair excl fitting.

The MINI spares are £55 + VAT = £64.63, the MINI chrome ones are £70 inc VAT. Also the Mini spares ones are ones you stick over the top of the exisitng caps so may not sit as well as the MINI ones.

Nice to see some other choices available now.

Minty - do you have the UK part numbers for the union jack mirror caps? I've been asking about those for the longest time and no one hear knows what I'm talking about.

I just picked up my UJ mirror covers. According to the Invoice the part numbers are
M51.14.0.303.554
M51.14.0.303.201

Took 2 minutes to fit em and they are great.

Hmmmm. The agony of choice. I have a chequered roof and full chrome so I just went for the chromed mirror caps when they (eventually) came out. Now I have to um and ar about these new chequered ones before deciding to keep the chromed ones on the car anyway!

Gotta say, i love that Red Msfitoy!

I would love those checkerd caps on my car as im brg all the way around, might add some accent and an excuse to get white stripes!

On the subject of mirror caps, could anyone tell me where i can buy plain white ones? I have a mini one so mine are black at the mo n my dealer quoted over £100 to get them sprayed! Buying caps is surely a cheaper option?

Emma, a friend purchased the cap in primer at my local dealership. I believe he said that were available prepainted in black and white, though more expensive.

Can someone tell me if the part number for left hand drive ones is the same as for Uk cars? I seem to remeber reading that they are dfferent? How owuld I get a part number ofr UJ ones for a LHD? My dealer is useless. Nice but useless!

the part numbers for LHD cars are different. USA numbers as follow:

UJ, N/S: 51 14 0 303 553
UJ, O/S: 51 14 0 305 199
Check N/S 51 14 0 301 501
Check O/S 51 14 0 305 203
