Offline | I have the Philips Blue Vision side lights fitted as well... But I don't particularly like the look of them when they're switched off... a daft Smurfish blue... And as mentioned, they're not xenon white white either when switched on... although a remarkable improvement on the OEM bulbs... Pretty sure I'll go for LED replacements soon... The PIAA's don't seem too bad (just a bit worried about electronic/computer hickups as a result of fitting them -mentioned in other threads). Still need to find out whether I should opt for 2 or 6 LED bulbs, in Blue, white or combined array. NickBardsley and Scooby212 have them fitted, and those look mighty good to me... +++ Fast In, Fast Out: there's no substutite for cubic Minis +++ |

Offline | I got mine from Ultraleds.com. Delivered really quick and megga cheap. These have 5 white and one central blue. One nice quirk is when I start my car with the lights off, the LED's flash for around 5 seconds?? And they all stay on for around 30 seconds at a much dimmer state when you lock the car with the remote, or press lock on the remote when locked they come on again with the interior light for the same period. The camera seems to enhance the image so the next one with my flash on gives a more realistic view of what you see I'm breakin' her in officer...........Honest! |

| 220 of your finest horses | I've just installed A set of quad LED white side lights on my MCS 05. (thanks Speeeeed) I noticed that there after turning off the side lights and removing the key from the ignition etc, there is still a small amount of power getting to the lights, enough to dimly illuminate two of each of the quad leds each side. Is this normal or am I suffering a dodgy earth or something? Never noticed residual glow from the stock bulbs Cheers S ![]() ![]() |

| Damned | Its seems its the Norm when LED sidelights are fitted. Mine stay on for at least 10 min after the doors are locked (I became disorientated & felt decidedly stupid after looking at them for this long ...but its no longer than an hour )Its to do with how little current the LEDs draw in comparisson with filament bulbs &, I guess, some kind of bulb checking routine the computer does. ![]() In da Wud |

| 220 of your finest horses | Cool I felt a little silly toddling out to keep checking if the lights were still lit! After about 30 mins they ha dgone out completely so I guess the ECU had decided that they weren't going to eat the battery or something and shut down But boy, when fully on, do they look good under my Xenons!
