Offline | LED sidelights Just got some replacement LED sidelight bulbs into stock. The light they give is much whiter - matches the xenons better BUT they don't seem as bright If that makes any sense Left is factory, right is LED |

Offline | No, but then again sidelights are not meant to, I am just worried they will not be bright enough to be seen in bad weather without headlights. Plus they are not legal ![]() |

Offline | Ive got some PIAA LED sidelights, have had them in for about 8 months with no troubles, they seem bright, just they are quite directional, when you are level with the bulb they are blindingly bright!, but when looking at them from any other angle i would say they are just as bright as other sidelights. I have them because I think they look better, but thats my opinion, as the original mini sidelights have quite a yellow tinge to them. I also have some Philips Blue Vision Ultra headlight bulbs, which are legal and they seem to give better performance than the standard items, I will try and put a pic in my gallery of the lighting. Offline | I got some LED side lights which had 4 White LED's but they didn't match to well with my Non Xenon lights so changed them for some Philips Blue Vision Side lights. They match better witht the normal lights, but when not on you can see the Blue Coated bulb through the Lens.Hopefully the 4 LED ones will go well with the Xenons on the new one. Roll on 16th!! ![]() |

Offline | Watch out guys... as someone I work with enjoys telling people, these super birght LEDs are brighter than the sun...! What he means is that the light output per square mm reaching your eye from an LED at arm's length can be more than looking at the sun that's X million miles away. LEDs also have a very narrow cone angle where all their output is concentrated (typically 20 degrees). Be very careful looking directly into the newer generations lf LEDs. I don't know that you could do permanent damage, but they really are blindingly bright. |

| Amiga 500 to PS3 20 Years | Yeah could agree more. Most of the bulbs on here are wide angle as they're designed for automotive use but be careful. I got some super bright LED's and they left spots before my eyes for a while when they accidently flashed during installation. If you want to test if they're working point them away towards something black. It'll be enough to see the reflection, but not enough to hurt your eyes I now have some on order from America that are 10 times brighter than these super bright LED's They are the brightest LED's available in the world! Just using them in a little project of mine. I'll post more details once it's been done ![]() ![]() It was acceptable in the 80's |

| Amiga 500 to PS3 20 Years | Yeah I've seen those ones. Bit old now though I saw them on an LED museum site (I kid you not!) The ones I'm getting don't require heat sinks and they don't really look like conventional LED's. I'll post pics when they eventually arrive! ![]() It was acceptable in the 80's |

Offline | I have just taken a pic of the led sidelights in my car, they are PIAA. Which I recommend as I had another make at first and they kept blowing, I swapped to PIAA and had no trouble. http://www.mini2.com/forum/attachmen...id=26674&stc=1 |
