hi i was on the m1 (england) today and saw two minis with shark fin aerials as fitted on the 3 series bmw , I want ONE is it a dealer fit or can i fit it myself ?

If you are intent on switching the the shark fin you will have to also fit an aftermarket FM aerial in one of you rear side windows, the shark fin only functions as a GPS antenna

Well unless u wanna fork out £1,500 for the sat nav as well.

No offense but i can't beleive noone has figured out how to retro fit the Shark fin to also work as an antenna. Can't you just drill a hole into the shark fin and put the antenna in it? The cables should already be running to that area.

I'm sure someone must have tried this before. If not then i guess i'll be the first. Anybody have a part number for just the shark fin or maybe even the Cell phone one that some people have talked about. I can imagine the GPS Antenna one might be a bit expensive.

the gps fin has the phone aerial in too...they are one part number, two wires coming out of it.
