Offline | Front Fog Lights Hi, I'm new to the site and I was hoping to get some opinions/advice from some fellow mini owners. I bought my Mini too late in the production phase to add anything on to it, so I had to add some things at the dealer. I feel confident with the price on the driving lamps and bonnet stripes, but I want to add front fog lights. One dealer says it can't be done through Mini, one says she'll do it for $850 and another said he'll do front and rear for $1150. It seems very expensive and I wanted to get some prices from some real life experts. Thanks in advance for the help. ![]() |

Offline | front and rear light retrofit kit can be bought for around $199, labor should not be anywhere near those prices you were quoted, thats insane. Ask your dealer to itemize the pricing and see how the heck they are coming up with such prices. |

Offline | That's really expensive and for the amount so use them it probably isn't worth it. It's illegal in the UK to use front or rear fogs unless visibility is severely reduced. I live in an area that often gets fog but in 18 months I don't think I ever used the rears as they are so blinding. Red/Black R56 Cooper |

Offline | 20 minutes, for rear fogs all it is is changing out the toggle switch bank, which requires removing the downtubes, which requires loosening up the cup holder section, its actually a very easy job. |

Offline | Fog lights I just checked on cost for this. The fog lights, front and rear were $159-$199 depending on dealer. Install was the problem. The only quote I received was from the Portland, OR dealer and they had to call Mini and get a time frame as they had not done any. They said 3.5 hours and there rate was $90.00 per hour. Hope this helps |

Offline | Point of clarification, please, GMini03. Am I correct in guessing that you installed the part yourself and had your dealer do the programming, or is it possible to do the programming yourself as well? I want to add both front and rear fogs to my '04 Cooper S. Musta had a brain fart when I ordered the thing without fogs. --jim DS/W Cooper S "She's my little juiced Coop you don't know what I got. Offline | dealer must do the programming, you can, depending on tools available and mechanical skill, do everything else yourself and save a bunch of labor costs. (most, not all tho, dealer's charge 1/2 hour labor for programming, so guesstimate around ~$50) |

Offline | Front Fog Lights a No Go I have a '02 MCS and was told by my dealer that there was no retro kit available, i.e. they cannot add the front fog lights. If anybody has had this done, give me a shout! ![]() |
