I went to look at my new MC today. Unfortunately I'm not going to pick it up until Jan 2nd because I can get more on resale.
Anyway, I was looking at the bonnet stripes and it appeared as if the gap between the right bonnet stripe and the grill was wider than the left bonnet stripe and the grill. I didn't pay a massive amount of attention because I thought it might have been the light and I didn't have my glasses on. But I took a picture from a different angle and it is still easily noticeable to my eye.
So has anybody else had the factory installed bonnet stripes messed up? Is it possible for the dealership to trim the left bonnet stripe easily to match the right? Is it easy for the right bonnet stripe to be removed and another reaplace it?
I didn't look at the hinged end of the bonnet to see if their was a misalignment there.

Anybody got any answers?

easy to remove and reinstall, don't wait to tell you dealership though, tell them now so they can have it done when you want to pick it up

It may have changed, but in the USA in May , 2003, the stripes were put on at factory
for the MCS: the MC stripes were put on by the dealer. They are easy to remove.
Make the dealer do it right.

I might be completely wrong (perhaps Goonery can help out on this), but I though all stripes were dealer installs????

Either way the dealer should be experienced and fitting them and should be able to rectify them easily
