Question Ok, what IS the white gunk on my molding?!

Is it soap from the coin-operated DIY cleaning place I've been using? It really shows up on my otherwise clean DS finish.

I found some "cleaner" for black rubber parts at the local parts shop but it seems to be more of a cover-up than a cleaner and I worry about getting it on my paint.

I just washed mine at the coin-op yesterday (man I really hate cold weather) & have some white powdery crap on the trim also. I would'nt worry to much about it for now. I just started using Meguiar's Natural Shine vinyl & rubber protectant on the trim pieces & am very pleased with the results.
